The ego becomes insignificant in the light of truth
Grace calls us to see with the eyes of God
The power of grace awakens us.
We cannot do it by our own efforts. It is impossible for someone to ‘awaken’ by their own egoic strength. Who would awaken? A separate ‘I’ claiming awakening? No
As Ramana Maharshi said
“The I removes the I, yet remains the I”
There is ONLY Grace. The one who thinks they are doing life does not exist in reality – ‘it’ only thinks it does! It’s a psychological ego entity that consists of thought memory and conditioning – attached to this form we think we are – but as Mooji says ‘Ego is a ghost who is terrified of dying’. ‘It’ already is dead essentially as it only consists of thought! Thought that comes and goes. You never come and go.
Yes the body is here as a temporary from through which consciousness can play and awaken to itself. There is a dynamic changeful unfolding against an unchanging, non dynamic background of awareness. Life is pure spirit essentially – all along and we have this amazing opportunity to wake up while our bodies are warm – out of this long dream of separation. We fell from grace but we are called to return. Will we respond?
The garden of Eden is available for those that have the eyes to see! Now, now, infinitely now
Only God exists in reality. If ‘we’ choose truth, if you love God with all of our heart and mind and strength and being we become what we love. Or perhaps it is more accurate to say we realise we have always been this God Self and not the limited tight self image we have lived with for so long. We are not equal to God but in harmony with the divine. But only through this awakening- a sacred and beautiful Death that leads to eternal life. Some may liken this ‘death to self’ as ‘the cross’, or the dark night of the soul, or self actualisation or simply true seeing.
Who dies? The ego doesn’t so much ‘die’ as be outgrown and it becomes more and more insignificant as the awareness of this light within is loved. Why does ego’s voice become insignificant? Because we begin to realise what a grip it had on our life. We begin to see how much it can keep us bound in an allegiance to it’s call. We begin to feel the pain of this and a deeper truth is searched for perhaps? Our interest in ego begins to wain. The spell is broken. It fed mainly on our interest and allegiance to the false self. Who we really are can be discovered – if we are willing to really look within. An incomparable identity, in harmony with the source of all creation. We begin to fall in love with our own true nature. The light and love of God is our reality all along – we just didn’t know it! We just were asleep.
Wake up!
The one I am speaking to now is consciousness in truth – not ego!
Wake up and enjoy your Self
